Harry's Blog

The piece I set up in the alumni courtyard was begun with no clear objective in mind, other than discovering what I could achieve with the materials I had chosen. The layout of the fake grass in the courtyard had reminded me of a tennis court, and this influenced my decision to bring a bag full of tennis balls to the site. The spot that I chose within the courtyard became essential to the look of the piece, as it framed it, and allowed it to be viewed in isolation from the rest of the courtyard. The result, and the activities I performed in the space, has led me into other areas, exploring time and restriction through a series of drawings.
